Tideline

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

Tideline is an on-device macOS application manager and uninstaller developed by Sunsato. Tideline does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.

Data processed on your Mac

Tideline reads application metadata and filesystem information to show installed applications and potential related files. When you approve a cleanup, Tideline asks macOS to move the selected items to Trash. This processing occurs locally on your Mac.

Tideline stores the following local application state under its Application Support directory:

This information is not transmitted by Tideline. You can revoke saved folder access from the Folder Access page and remove Tideline's local Application Support data through Finder.

macOS permissions

Folder access is requested through the standard macOS folder picker. Tideline cannot grant itself Full Disk Access or bypass macOS privacy controls. A folder grant expands scan visibility only; it does not make an otherwise unsafe path removable.

If you explicitly select the privacy-reset option during uninstall, Tideline asks the macOS tccutil service to reset saved privacy decisions for the verified application bundle identifiers shown in the review. Tideline does not read or modify the protected TCC database.

When you explicitly uninstall a root-owned or Mac App Store app bundle, Tideline may invoke the standard macOS administrator authorization prompt to move that bundle to your user Trash. Tideline does not use that authorization to remove related All Users files or background services.

Network access and third parties

Tideline contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, account, or cloud-sync service. It does not include third-party SDKs that collect data.
